Anathema is one of the most creative bands I know. "A Natural Disaster" is more ambient and atmospheric compared to the earlier albums of this once Doom-Metal Band. The band completely shed themselves of their goth roots, while still putting out powerful, brooding hard rock. On this album they sound remarkably like Pink Floyd and sometimes Radiohead. There is a certain haunting, atmospheric quality to "A Natural Disaster" that is utterly enchanting and makes "A Natural Disaster" a chill-out record of sorts for metalhead.
